5 Tools for Braces Care While at School
Getting the highest score is awesome. It also keeps your braces in top condition. Are you going back to school with new braces and don’t know how to care for them in class?
Here are 5 tools for braces care while at school to keep your braces looking great.
1. Travel toothbrush
One of the best tools for caring for braces at school is a travel toothbrush. It’s not always easy to fit a regular sized toothbrush in your pocket or purse, especially if you’re using an electric toothbrush, so a travel sized toothbrush can come in handy when you need to get out quickly after dinner. Wipe it off.
2. Fluoride Toothpaste
Fluoride-containing toothpaste is essential for fighting cavities. Fluoride is a natural mineral found in many foods and is often added to drinking water, but usually requires some additional fluoride to keep teeth strong and healthy. There are also travel toothpastes that contain fluoride, so you can easily put the tube along with your toothbrush in your pocket or travel kit.
3. Thread
Daily flossing is important to thoroughly clean all surfaces of your teeth, including between your teeth. It is also important to carry dental floss in case food gets stuck between your teeth or braces.
4. Dental Pick
When you don`t have time to brush or floss thoroughly, dental picks are an awesome temporary alternative! We recommend keeping a few handy in your backpack, car, locker, pocket, and anywhere else you might stop to look in the mirror for a quick hair and smile check. A dental pick is easily one the most versatile tools for braces care at school because it`s so compact to carry and quick to use.
5. Wax
If you`re new to braces, make sure to also carry some of the wax your orthodontist gave you to help cover any spots that might get sore while you`re busy chatting with friends or playing sports. You`ll soon get used to your braces, but until then it`s always nice to have a little extra help to make them feel more comfortable in the meantime.
